Construction begins with a frame made from grade one pine, obtained from renewable sources, screwed and glued together for maximum strength. Each frame encloses and ‘nest of deep hourglass strings that are traditionally  ‘starlashed’ together for stability and covered with Hessian and layers of natural hair. The box spring base is rolled, padded with hair and double stitched to give a life time of firm support. Finally the entire base is covered with our trademark ticking finished with wool tufts and fitted on standard bed sets with heavy duty casters for ease of movement.
